Using the Seibun Circuit and Switch Kit, a student will learn the basics of circuit construction and electron flow in circuits. Students will read and follow directions to successfully build a battery holder and switch. These components will be combined to make a simple continuity checker. An understanding of what materials allow electricity to flow will be obtained when students use the continuity checker to test the conductivity of materials. Additionally, students will learn how a switch works and be able extend the understanding to how a flashlight switch works. Students will also investigate how polarity effects a light bulb.
