The parts included in the Magnetic Fundamentals Kit are 2 marked bar magnets, one unmarked bar magnet, two ring magnets, a set of N/S stickers, a magnetic compass, an iron rod (compass needle), a plastic needle holder, plastic case, compass center piece, thread, paper butterfly, bag of iron filings, two copper nails, two aluminum nails, three steel (iron) nails, and a foam disk.
DO NOT CUT OPEN THE BAG HOLDING THE IRON FILINGS!
Caution - keep the magnets away from computer and television screens as well as any floppy disks or hard drives. The magnets in the kit are not overly powerful, but may damage sensitive equipment or electronic data storage devices.
