Students will cover the following topics and concepts: electricity and the creation of electromagnets, electromagnet core, magnetic attraction to various materials, how electromagnets interact with magnets, permanent versus temporary magnets, the conversion of electrical into thermal energy, factors effecting the strength of electromagnets and with an optional ammeter or multimeter, how the measure the current in a circuit.
